Introduces BizED Magazine
St. Louis - AACSB International --
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the premier
accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree
programs in business administration and accounting, has announced
publication dates for BizEd, a new print magazine focusing on
management education.
The "premier" issue is
scheduled to debut in November 2001. Future issues will be published
bimonthly beginning in January 2002.
"No current periodical focuses exclusively on management
education," says John Kraft, dean of the Warrington College of
Business, University of Florida, and chair of the AACSB
International Board of Directors. "The scope and outlook will
have an international flavor."
The magazine will target leaders in
management education worldwide. The publication's primary audience
will include collegiate business schools, both within the United
States and worldwide, corporate universities and others involved in
advancing management education today. The magazine will provide
in-depth penetration of the leading business schools through
distribution to business school deans, department chairs and
faculty, as well as business school librarians, distance learning
coordinators, continuing education directors, student placement and
career planning specialists.
"AACSB is committed to
publishing a periodical that is indispensable to the management
education community," said Kraft. "It will provide a
platform for the presentation of trends, developments, ideas, and
emerging issues in management education."
BizEd will also offer vital
information covering the best ways to deliver educational content,
design and effective programs, how to integrate new technologies,
and how to administrate effectively. "As the only magazine to
serve management educators specifically, BizEd will be a resource
for business school administrators, faculty members, and corporate
universities," Kraft said. Additional topics include: ethics,
marketing practices, distance learning, corporate education,
motivation, leadership, academic issues, institutional performance,
and business school quality issues.
John Fernandes, AACSB International's
president and CEO, said, "The publication will be thought
provoking and worthy of the stature as AACSB's flagship publication.
The content will enhance the professional knowledge of the reader.
As a tool, the periodical will provide information to assist
decision-making and improved job performance."
